I cannot believe I am the only one thinking this whole “oops I took some classified documents” thing could be solved with bar codes. Beyond the criminal intent of some people, shouldn’t the conversation focus on how to do a much better job keeping track of classified documents? Each document gets a code, each document must be checked out to leave the secure room, and there is a record of who last had the document. Now, if only another U.S. government agency had some experience tracking documents.
