The Road Ahead?

Another week of mixed results. On the plus side, there is still no sign of a rapidly escalating surge in any way comparable to last winter’s Omicron tsunami, and the two-month rise in hospitalizations may have reached an inflection point. On the down side, the weekly death toll in the US did rise to its highest level in over 9 months; and though the weekly caseload of new infections was apparently down from the prior week, the average of the past two weeks was the highest seen since early September. Hopefully we will have a clearer picture of the true post-Holidays situation next week, including a resumption of data from Canada again?
