Legendary guitarist Jeff Beck has died [1]

On Wednesday, it was officially announced that world-famous guitar pioneer Jeff Beck has passed away. According to his family, Beck died on Tuesday. The family’s statement:

“On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday. His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.”

Beck received all of the awards and all of the adulation a legendary musician receives during their lifetime. It is a loss.

Beck was 78 years old.
