NFL: I'd be in heaven if the Super Bowl ended up being the Jaguars vs. The Lions. [1]

I have loved football since I was a small B.F.Skinner. I usually shy away from posting such diaries as I know a significant group, due to the potential of injury, violence, pay issues are very outspoken about their dislike of football. I acknowledge and appreciate and agee with many of these positions but at the same time I really like football.
I am a fan of the Detroit Lions. I grew up in the Burbs of Detroit, left for a bit for grad school and work, but came back. Ask anyone which football teams are the most, longest suffering fans of all times and 9 out of 10 times the answer from football fans near and far are the Detroit Lions (I give a shout out here to Cleveland)
The last few years we’ve lost, and lost and have I mentioned lost? They seem to live to lose in as many ways as possible. Any way you can think up as to how, in reality, a team can lose, the Lions have it covered. We do not hate them, us loyal fans, but we treat them like the runt of the litter, no matter what they do we stick by them, comfort them and shout maybe next year.
Well Sunday is a huge game for us, If we can beat the dreaded and highly disliked Packers then we are in, the Lions which lost many games this year have made a huge comeback, they are rough and tough and under their new coach seem to have jelled, if they win we’re in as a wild card team.
Meanwhile our equal in rotten play, for many years, in the AFC are the Jaguars from Jacksonville. That was until they picked Trevor Lawerence up in the draft as their starting QB,
This guy is good, and just tonight they beat a team they needed to beat and are now assured a spot in the whild card. They did what Detroit needs to do,...win,
If we win all our games from now on we could, if we click our heals together 3 times, meet in the Super Bowl. It would be amazing, 2 long suffering teams overcoming all odds and meeting in the game of all games.
Now some might say the only reason I was the Jags to win is that I am in love (Ok, ok, maybe lust) with the new QB they have...oy the long flowing hair, the cute facial features...oy, ok, I will stop…
But even if you look past my lust.. would it not be great to see two long suffering teams in the greatest show?
Go Jags! Go Lions!
