Today is the second anniversary of January 6, 2021. Yesterday Gaetz said Trump's name as each member of the House said out loud who they voted for Speaker of the House. It was the only vote Trump received. On a later ballot, Gaetz formally introduced Trump as a candidate for House Speaker. Trump again only received one vote. Later that night, Congresswoman Boebart said she might put Trump's name forward Friday in a heated argument between her and Sean Hannity about who she wanted to be Speaker of the House.

While no mainstream Republican is talking publicly about a plan to vote Trump in as Speaker of the House, various scenarios regarding different candidates are clearly in the works. In what seemed like a Broadway musical, Matt Gaetz was hopping over chairs, going from each chatting coalition to another on the floor, gathering information about where each team stood, and reporting back to a group behind closed doors. Something is afoot for today's anniversary of January 6th.

Meanwhile, in the non-mainstream media, there is talk about Trump's path to the Speakership. Seven days ago, LTC Ivan Raiklin (USA, Ret) discussed (at the one-hour mark) Trump's road to the House Speakership. Raiklin says that Trump should become Speaker of the House. Raiklin said Speaker of the House Trump would work on being reinstalled as President because the Twelfth Amendment was mishandled on January 6th, two years ago. After a few weeks or months, Trump would be reinstated as president, and Devin Nunes would become Speaker of the House.
