This isn't as much about the "radicals" any more as it is about Kevin McCarthy's ego [1]

It’s been funny, in a "man, am I ever going to regret this later but the hell with it now” sense, to see Kevin McCarthy’s ongoing crusade to take another pie in the face with each Speaker vote, but at this point he has degenerated into a man who is placing his ambitions and ego above the good of his country. Sure, that’s par for the course for 90+% of Republicans these days, but this has become a public display of stupid stubbornness that doesn’t merely encompass the machinations of 20 traitors in the House any more. It’s high time that the political press starts to blame McCarthy for prolonging this mess. Every day we risk some kind of crisis in which our country’s ability to respond will be crippled by a Congress that can’t function. Keeping up the battle after 3 or 4 votes is marginally understandable, but 11 votes (at this writing) ought to be way more than enough to tell any sane person that it isn’t going to happen. McCarthy’s only path to actually serving his country is to remove his name from the election, and the fact that he won’t puts him in a class occupied only by his master, Trump.
The political press needs to pull focus from the 20 Treason Caucus members (attention is their only motivation now, anyway, like 2-year-olds yelling “No!” every time they’re addressed) and place it on the one man who can end this ridiculous Republican farce at any time. I don’t know who we’d get in his place, but he is crippling our government single-handedly with his narcissistic stubbornness. That has to be the main focus.
