How do you think this republican clown show for electing Speaker of the House will end? Poll below.

So far, we have had 11 votes, all ending up with almost identical results, with 20 ultra MAGA members refusing to vote for McCarthy. McCarthy has probably agreed to each of their extreme demands but they want every last drop of blood. The 20 rebels are not the only extremists; the entire GOP and their donor base wants to destroy Democracy as we know it. What does the future hold for us?

Yes, we may call it a clown show for now, but it has serious repercussions for the health of our nation and for our Democracy. Even if a Speaker gets elected soon, over the next two years, republicans will try to outdo each other in their extremism and using their legislative power to advance their fascist priorities — give more tax cuts for the donor class, escalate their war against Democrats, women and minorities, make it more and more difficult for Democrats to win elections, use threats and violence to intimidate and tame the electorate, and burn everything down including our Democracy. We have to stay vigilant and keep fighting back.
