Despite all the recent media attention claiming how the MAGA/GOP failed in the recent November election, the truth is the Republicans won the majority in the US House of Representatives. This fact cannot in any way be construed as a win for the Democrats. The Democrats LOST control of the House of Representatives. This was an abject a defeat for the Democratic Party.

Granted, it could have been much worse. But now we citizens of these United States, are doomed to two years of chaos, with no chance of legislative progress on so many issues critical to the health of our nation. The unhinged, radical MAGA/GOP party will likely continue unhindered, holding any and all progress hostage.

This reality cannot be more illustrated than today’s (1/3/2023) utter chaos in the House vote for a Speaker. Kevin McCarthy, despite his political gymnastics following the seditious attack upon the US Capitol on January 6, 2020, has failed to win the Speaker of the House after three ballot votes, with no clear path to ever obtain the position he has coveted for so many years.

The MAGA/GOP has demonstrated they have no ability to responsibly govern themselves for the foreseeable future. As they now continue to flail to select a Speaker, they will in the future prove they have no ability responsibly govern these United States. Ever.

And we will all pay the price.
