New day, still sort of a new year. David Waldman discusses the latest news.
Well, it was the latest this morning. You have got to hope there’s been some more upbeat updates on Damar Hamlin since this morning, Charlie Kirk is human garbage, but that’s old news.
There is probably some good news regarding the 118th Congress’ vote for House speaker, and by good, I mean bad for the wackjobs involved, the “Only Kevins”, “Never Kevins”, and especially Kevin.
Today is George Santos, alias Anthony Santos, alias Anthony Zabrovsky, alias Anthony Devolder’s first day as House representative... purportedly. George has no comment at this time, as his press secretary quit.
Elise Stefanik’s press secretary is as busy as ever, stating that everything that anyone has ever known about Stefanik has always been fake news.
People getting shot around New Year’s, or any other time of year, remains a pretty evergreen story. A guy can carry an armload of guns into a supermarket bathroom, load them, and put on body armor, but he and the Founders never really intended any harm.
