The Road Ahead?

Thought I would take this transition time between years to do a year-by-year comparison of how the pandemic has progressed in the various US States, Canadian Provinces, and nations of the world thus far (at least those with a population in excess of 250,000) — where the death rates are expressed per 1 million residents, “NN” refers to the Navajo Nation (which has had by far the worst experience with Covid of any place on the planet), and those places where 2022 has been their worst year are highlighted.

Note that if China follows Hong Kong’s disastrous trajectory from last year in 2023, they could be looking at 2 million or more deaths this year — which would most likely be more than the rest of the world combined.
