Monday Night Football Game Suspended [1]

Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin was injured so severely during the game against the Cincinnati Bengals tonight that the game has been suspended.

I have been a long time football fan, and in 40+ years of watching the game, I have never seen what happened tonight.

Damar Hamlin is only 24 years old; he helped tackle a guy, popped up like a spry young athlete, then just fell backwards onto the field.

EMTs on the scene gave him CPR for nine minutes before getting him onto a stretcher and into the ambulance.

I know it’s a dangerous game, and these young people take risks which ultimately entertain us…but I gotta admit, I just feel sick right now.

Hope you’ll put this young man in your thoughts this evening.
