Everything has been about three weeks late since our long wet cold Spring. These camellias should have been in full bloom a week or two before Christmas.
they are just starting to go, but there are a lot of them.
the Christmas Camellia or Noel is just starting as well.
I think this is a viburnum. It will have white/pink blossoms all over it soon.
The winter flowering shrubs have been inspired by the loss of our parents through this time of year.
We had a warm up this week, with one day and night of 35-50 mph winds. It really resolves the leaf issue. Rainy as well, and we need it.
I am tinkering in the basement with hobby wood and little girls dreams to keep me busy. The Barbie barn is pretty much cut out. I’ll get the girls to paint it with me next time they are down. I have a five story Calico Critters townhouse in the works. What fun.
We were in Portland yesterday for our Baby’s 40th birthday. Luckily the wife and I were in our early teens…...or early 30’s when she was born.
