We Thought It Was a Christmas Card [1]

It was probably a Christmas card, or maybe one of those annual family stories. You know, the old-fashioned blog without the Reply feature. So it sat there for a while, in the low priority pile.
When it was finally opened, the contents were simply stunning. This is from a family we’ve known for a very long time. They are in the medical profession. He’s an MD. I would say they are pretty smart folks. Or I would have said that. They do seem to have had a bit of a rightward drift of late, though.
What we received was a copy of an article from the Epoch Times. I won’t do them the pleasure of including a link. It’s easy enough to find if you want to depress yourself.
The Epoch Times, with all their sketchy history and nonsensical content had penetrated this well-educated family. “Peeking Inside the COVID Vaccine.” Unlisted ingredients, toxic additives, changes in your blood, blah, blah, blah.
And they felt compelled to pass this along as their holiday message. Because this threat tops the list of concerns.
It’s pretty damned depressing. The fight against misinformation is going to be a long slog. I suppose that was always the case, but I expected more from these folks.
I feel like mailing out copies of the J6 committee summary as my holiday message. It won’t be cheap because, you know, there’s actual content there. Lots of it. They won’t have a Reply button either, and it will give the USPS a little business.
That is all. I feel only a little bit better. Happy New Year.
