Black-eyed peas never worked for me.
We’ve reached the last Wednesday of 2022. Once again, we’re lucky to have made it through the last 12 months. War in Europe, climate catastrophes, mass shootings, crypto collapses, unhinged right-wingers, unhinged billionaires and a lingering pandemic were among the highlights.
On the other hand, democracy was spared, at least for another cycle. Democrats are pretty unified and Republicans are squabbling. The economy is improving and Joe Biden remains a steady hand.
We lost some beloved celebrities but are still stuck with others that should really go away. I wish this site would post fewer picks of TFG and Elmo. I’m sick to death of both of them.
I’d wish you all a Happy New Year but I’m afraid to. For longer than I’d care to count, we’ve been glad to get rid of the old year, only to have the new year come in the door and say, “hold my beer.”
I don’t know about you, but I’m waaaay overdue for a good year. Maybe I should play the Lotto more.
