LGBTQ Literature is a Readers and Book Lovers series dedicated to discussing literature that has made an impact on the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people. From fiction to contemporary nonfiction to history and everything in between, any literature that touches on LGBTQ themes is welcome in this series. LGBTQ Literature posts on the last Sunday of every month at 7:30 PM EST. If you are interested in writing for the series, please send a message to Chrislove.
Good evening, faithful LGBTQ Literature readers, and merry Christmas to all who celebrate! Today is Christmas Day (obviously), and because I anticipate lower readership this evening, I’ve decided not to publish a new LGBTQ Literature diary today. Instead, I’d like to thank all of the writers who contributed to the 2022 LGBTQ Literature series! There were a few rough patches over this past year, but I think we’ve done about as well as could be expected. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what 2023 has in store for this series!
I’d also like to get a head start on planning our 2023 LGBTQ Literature schedule. I’m going on vacation for the next couple of weeks, but when I return in January, I plan to “work the phones” (or, “work the kosmails”) to fill in as many dates as I can. I’m going to claim the January diary, and I’m also going to cancel the December diary in advance (since it falls on New Year’s Eve). That leaves ten open dates. If you are interested in writing for this series on any of the below dates, please let me know by either commenting below or sending me a kosmail. As a reminder, any topic that relates to LGBTQ Literature is welcome in this series—so if you’re thinking that your idea is too “out there,” it’s probably not. If you’ve never written a diary before, I’ll guide you through the process! Ideally, I would like to see a diverse set of writers on the schedule for the new year. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re interested in contributing.
Happy holidays, and see you in the new year!
