The Road Ahead?

The surge we’ve seen in new Covid cases, hospitalizations, and deaths over the past several weeks seems to have taken a pause this week — perhaps due to the Christmas holiday season. We’ll see if this pause continues after Christmas and New Year’s, or if things will get even worse again.

Note that the Canadian stats this week aren’t nearly as bad as they might seem. Normally they have been running at least two weeks late, but this week caught up to just being one week behind the current date, so we’re in effect looking at two weeks’ worth of data in this report rather than one.
