It's time once again for a year end poll ranking America's worst Right Wingers [1]

Time again for an annual poll of the worst of the worst - starting with US Senators
As 2022 comes to a close, it seems appropriate to look back on the year we’ve had. Inspired by a reader poll that Michael Tomasky the editor at New Republic published in 2021 ranking the worst Right Wingers in America newrepublic.com/.... I thought readers here at DKOS might reflect a bit and take a similar poll.
The TNR categories in 2021 included — Worst U.S. Senator, Worst House Member, Worst Insurrection Defender, Worst Governor, Worst Officeholder who may run for President, Worst Fox News Host, Worst ‘Serious’ Journalist, Worst Dirtbag Whitesupremacist, Worst Supreme Court Justice, Worst Magazine or Website, Worst Major Political Donor. We might add a few more categories to our list — like Worst Candidate for Federal Office for example which could pit Herschel Walker against George Santos, Don Boldoc, and Mehemet Oz.
I don’t think I can include more than one poll per diary so we’ll start with Worst US Senator and go on from there. I’ll compile the results in a summary diary next week.
The TNR poll in 2021 looked like this.
Worst Senator 60% Mitch McConnell, KentuckyKnown for: blocking Merrick Garland from the Supreme Court, saying it was too late; elevating Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, saying there was plenty of time. 17% Ted Cruz, Texas
Known for: insurrection inciter; Cancún vacationer (as Texans died of Covid-19); universal scorn of colleagues. 10% Ron Johnson, Wisconsin
Known for: being dumbest person in the Senate; defending Capitol rioters as patriots and saying that if they had been from Black Lives Matter, “I might have been a little concerned” for safety—then denying any “racial” element to his comments. 10% Josh Hawley, Missouri
Known for: fist-pumping the January 6 insurrectionists; Ivy League populism; desperate pursuit of presidency. 4% Lindsey Graham, South Carolina
Known for: blowing a gasket at Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing; sucking up to Trump after lightly criticizing him.
