A Halloween decoration my kids found at the local dollar store. I liked it so much I decided to make it permanent, and dress it it up for the different holidays.

To all who read this, I send my love and wishes for a peaceful and happy Yule. Stay warm, and stay close to those you cherish.

My daughter and Barkimedes Max keeping my spot warm for me yesterday.

It's also my birthday. My daughter and I plan to wander around in Old Town Cottonwood, window shopping and admiring the decorations. We'll have lunch at our favorite cafe there, and I'll splurge on one of their fabulous decadent pastries. In the evening I'll have my usual quiet, solitary observance.
