When a racist jerk shows the world who he really is, we should believe him.

A San Francisco federal court jury on Monday ruled that Tesla must pay $137 million to a Black man who said he endured racist abuse while working at the company's Fremont, California, plant as an elevator operator. Owen Diaz was hired at the factory via an agency in 2015. According to CNBC, he told the court that colleagues would verbally abuse him and other Black workers, for example telling him to "go back to Africa." He also said racist graffiti was scrawled in the bathrooms, CNBC reported. [...] Tesla was ordered to pay $1 million to a Black former employee named Melvin Berry in August. Berry started working at Tesla in 2015 but said he resigned a year later. When Musk was told of the 300 automated “inauthentic” accounts spewing hate on his new soapbox acquisition, Musk protected the hate speech trolls — instead of their victims. Musk then fired the voices of reason, trying to nip the increase in hate speech at its source . Fired abruptly, without cause or reason …



Twitter dissolves Trust and Safety Council

abruptly dissolved its Trust and Safety Council, the latest sign that Elon Musk is Twitter on Monday night, the latest sign that Elon Musk is unraveling years of work and institutions created to make the social network safer and more civil. Members of Twitter’s Trust and Safety Council received an email with the subject line, “Thank You,” that informed them the council was no longer “the best structure” to bring “external insights into our product and policy development work.” The email dissolution arrived less than an hour before members of the council were expecting to meet with Twitter executives via Zoom to discuss recent developments, according to people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the plans. When the director of that Trust and Safety Council raised a fuss about being abruptly fired — Musk personally doxxed the man, from his new seat of power/abuse — from Musk’s own personal Twitter account — he let his unfounded accusations fly ...

And his alt-right mob descended, as if on cue, standing by … to enforce Elon’s every Q-tainted insinuation:

The online mob also sent threats to people Roth had replied to on Twitter, forcing some of Roth’s family and friends to delete their Twitter accounts, according to a person familiar with Roth’s situation who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to concerns about Roth’s safety. Elon Musk is an abusive Jerk. And vindictive petty tyrant boss, to boot.

If he never gets another Government contract again, it can’t be soon enough.

If the shareholders of his companies were smart, they’d form a hostile takeover of their own — and show the abusive, hate speech-enabling Jerk, the door. (… By the next quarterly meeting, if they were smart.)

If those Stockholders had a moral compass, what a startup they could lead ...
