DAILY KOS - The Musk Fan Page? [1]

Honestly, such a large percentage of the featured diaries on Daily Kos now seem to revolve around Elon Musk-Twitter that it feels as if we are benefitting Musk at this point. When a narcissistic attention hound has achieved his “look at me” goals daily by dominating coverage upon his ideological foe’s website such as I am seeing on Daily Kos, I have to wonder if he has won. Like the Kardashian’s, Musk sees no difference between positive and negative coverage in the press….there is only the need for coverage.

Individuals such as Musk literally thrive upon driving the news cycle. It not only strokes his near socio-pathic ego but has been and remains a profitable strategy for him. When Musk owns the liberals in the name of “free speech” he is doing so to establish his “street cred” with his lending class peers that he sorely needs. This is purely a business decision to increase the long-term viability of the over-valued house of cards that Tesla stock has become. The stock has been and remains based upon the perception that Musk is the Midas who will turn all he touches to gold. To keep the Ponzi scheme of Tesla afloat one must project the air of a winner who will only deliver profits to those along for the ride. If one valuated Tesla stock based solely on the actual value of facilities, cash on hand and sales record, it’s valuation would be far less.

The need to disappear his previous quasi-liberal leanings has been an exercise in the socio-pathic personality at work. The ends justify the means. One cannot ingratiate one’s self with the money lending class if one does not parrot their goals and aspirations. Twitter is simply one of the fronts in the reinvention of Musk to a conservative that money lenders and stock buyers can trust is one of them. Twitter provides and drives the news coverage for Musk in a mobius strip frenzy. What better forum to establish your street cred than Twitter? Well I think that lately Daily Kos has been giving Twitter a run for it’s money.

If Daily Kos community/front page is devoting large reems of coverage and attention to Musk to the detriment of stories that really matter, then aren’t they doing exactly what Musk wants? I, for one, do not care to complicit in helping to drive that coverage but even the process of wading through the Musk related headlines on Daily Kos has become a chore. To me it is the same as publicizing the name of a serial killer….you are doing their bidding by giving them attention they don’t deserve.

Solutions for Daily Kos? Maybe shoot Musk related items off to a cumulative side page that does not dominate Daily Kos websites front page? Honestly, we survived before Twitter and we will survive after it collapses (or morphs into a Truth Social clone) but Daily Kos certainly shouldn’t be doing exactly what Elon Musk wants by helping to drive news coverage of him.

My two cents.
