As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

Greetings my friends. and welcome to another Saturday! We made it through another week… So. By now we all know that I am a huge fan of Audiobooks. My Audible membership allows for 2 book credits a month, and i will on occasion spend a little of my spare pocket money for a third, as i did when i saw the eddie izzard book we discussed last week. I’ve been saving this months credits, because there were (as far as I knew) two audible releases scheduled to drop this month.
“Tainted Love”, the second book in Cerise Cole’s End of Days Series dropped today. I snapped that up and started the download before I was even out of bed this morning. “The Ways We Betray”, is book four in Auryn Hadley’s Path of Temptation series. This one is scheduled to drop a few days after Christmas, just before my birthday. The thing is, I found out earlier today that Hadley had another book drop today. “Lure of the Devil”, which is book four from The Demon’s Muse series, also dropped this morning, and since I was offered a rather steep discount on this, ($7.50 rather than nearly $35) I could not in good conscience pass up the opportunity.
Add to the list, a pair of free offerings from Audible, that I discovered just as I was writing this. “Fear The Wolf” By James Patterson, and Mike Lupica, and an Audible Dramatization of Charles Dickens’s Oliver Twist (Which I grabbed mainly to annoy one reviewer who’s chief complaint seemed to be that Audible had chosen an inclusive cast.)
I’ll drop the Audible links below, and may very well give you reviews of some of these, as I finish reading them.
