Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, recent subpoenas issued by Special Prosecutor Jack Smith reveals he has expanded the Trump investigation.
Then, on the rest of the menu, outgoing Democratic governor Kate Brown commuted the sentences of all seventeen people on Oregon’s death row to life without possibility of parole; a bench trial has started to determine if an Alaskan Oath Keeper lawmaker is unfit for office because of his participation to overthrow the US government; and, the Department of Justice and Homeland Security were urged to investigate a multi-state conspiracy by Trump groups to copy voting software and circulate it “in the wild.”
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where a Russian FSB officer was charged by US prosecutors with smuggling sensitive electronic components to help Russia’s military effort; and, a key figure in a massive German tax evasion case was convicted of three counts of tax evasion and sentenced to eight years in prison.
