From Moscow to Mar-a-Lago, two self-pumped poohbahs have fallen on harder times. By soiling his BVDs while swooning onto his kleptocratic keister, Vladimir Putin has fueled speculation that he may have colorectal cancer. In any case, recent photos show him ghostly. Vacant. And arguably frail.
Nor does Donald Trump seem fit. At his claimed height of 6’3” and weight of 244 pounds, he’s been pegged barely obese. But photos alongside persons not known to spew scores of falsehoods weekly show him to be 6’1”. Plus, since leaving office, his jowls, paunch, and chest have burgeoned. Conservatively, he must weigh a good 260- making him seriously obese.
Given a diet in which ketchup seems to be the sole veggie, his high LDL (bad cholesterol) levels loom large (no pun intended).
Waging a genocidal blitz, Putin faces no small degree of mutiny. With Fox no longer in the tank (so to speak) for him, Trump faces woes of his own. His rallies are no longer big draws (or big deals). His tour with fellow bully Bill O’Reilly smacked of the Bay City Rollers. The "Kraken" that was supposed to return him to power turned out to be (of all things) mythical.
In general, strongmen tend to have fraught downfalls. Granted, Francisco Franco hung on (in style) for decades. But Benito “Drain the Swamp” Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, and Muammar Gaddafi suggest Putin may have a comeuppance in the offing.
Having fallen short of his bid to become “The Chosen One,” Trump needs to be taken down to a point we can rest assured he has not been above the law. Even the staid, decorous New Yorker now ridicules Merrick Garland’s “Procrastination.” The sooner the AG, Big Media, and the vox populi stop normalizing (and falling all over) the likes of Big Blonder, the better off our nation and the globe will be.
