It’s the holiday season! Which means it’s time to bust out the festive banner that I made like 5 years ago!
I have been at the barn for the majority of the past couple months. I have been giving my mom, remembrance, riding lessons and we have taken some trails. I will be teaching lessons for actual clients starting next month! Which if you know me, you may remember I used to work at a barn up until three years ago. I was a trainee and went through a level based lesson program. Well, now I run a program like that with my close friend. We have been building a program similar to the one we went through. The goal is to teach these young kids the basics of riding, and help them grow into strong equestrians and even prepare them to become instructors and build programs like this one. The trainees help us in our lessons, leading horses and assisting the clients in tacking up their horses and such. It is super super cool.
I have been out of commission for a little while as I dislocated my elbow back in late June. I still have four remaining fractures from the injury. I have been put on medical leave at my job. I can't lift anything heavy or twist door knobs but that doesn't mean I can't ride. Or maybe it does. No it doesn't.
Here are some pics of the cool new barn and adventures I’ve gone on!
I took my last ride at the barn I worked at for years and hated. I jumped 2’ in the middle of the night with a phone flashlight and fractured radius.
Halloween with Jedi!
We look so majestic
“no dogs allowed”
I rode the barn managers fancy Andalusian, Tempe. She was amazing
After Tempe, I cantered for the first since my fall.
Then I cried because I was so scared to do it but he took such good care of me.
No caption needed for this one.
I gave my mom a lesson in the dark, she learned about balance and it was super fun! (Mom when you see this, you did really good)
Mom and Stormfly killin’ it in the arena. Her EQ is better than mine.
This was one of our first arena rides together, we trotted around together. My grandma took pictures of us on my camera.
After our ride Grandma got all the lovin’ from Stormfly and Jedi!
The plumber is slowly becoming more comfortable around the horses. He's always been weary but he walks them around now and even pets them sometimes. Look at that big scary horse.
On Thanksgiving my mom and I decided to walk around in the neighborhoods above the barn and we met some people.
My dad took this lovely picture of me and Stormfly. I do not ride her often but she's the cutest little pony.
Later that evening I decided to get off, take off her saddle and ride her bareback. She is super slippery.
Now I’m collecting pictures of me for my portal on the website so I look like I love my job and horses. Look at the pretty mare!!
Jedi looks sooo good in purple!
