Just look at her. So… Mavericky…
When I heard the news that Krysten Sinema had changed her party status, I was shocked! Shocked, I tell ya…until I realized I was actually not shocked at all. I mean, who didn’t see this move coming? Maybe someone living on Pluto!!
Her whole, “it’s not ME, it’s you” spiel was pretty boring too, given that she’s been telegraphing it ever since she and Mitch started buddying around. But let’s give credit where due — her announcement, much like her entire political persona — was soooooooo Mavericky.
Because being seen as Mavericky is the actual point of this party switch. It’s not about her ideology, or political views, or her legislative agenda, such that these things might be. No. This move, will finally prove, that Ms. Sinema is THE Maverick now. The Maverick Mantle is now firmly in her grip, and she will NEVER let it go!
Her “thumbs down” should have proved her Maverickyness beyond any doubt. But people did indeed doubt, that she was the true Maverick. So she kept doing things to prove it to us, over and over — mostly holding up vital legislation — but why should she care? Because that’s what a true Maverick does.
So never doubt again, America! Krysten Sinema is the most Mavericky Maverick who ever Maverically pointed a Mavericky thumb at the ground, and she will always be a Maverick!!!
