I was then sent notification of a job with the IRS which I ignore and then a job with Aldi’s. That one I thought about. The people who work at Aldi’s are always very cheerful and happy to be at work. Maybe they get paid well and it’s a fun place to work?

I did wonder though what the Secret Service, the IRS, and Aldi’s have in common. Plus, what are they looking at on my resume that makes them pull up these jobs?!?

I then heard of a writing job that seems a bit more up my alley, but it required a “passion about climate change”. I don’t have that passion, for a lot of reasons.

I am very passionate about recycling though, probably my Scottish heritage. I was thrilled to find a few places new to me that recycle.

One place is a catalog called Orvis. Not much I would want to buy in there, but I was fascinated by this one sweater, I think I read in a catalog that it took 65 plastic bottles to make it. This company donates a lot of money to help preserve the environment.

Time magazine gave a lot of innovation of the year awards and one was to a company that recycles paint called UP! I love this idea.

Years ago, I started buying compostable trash bags, not because they were compostable but because they were the cheapest trash bags at Publix. I’m not sure why everyone doesn’t use these bags. They are normal white, 13-gallon kitchen waste bags. It doesn’t make sense to me to lock up your trash in plastic.
