The documents Trump stole when leaving the White House were found in three phases:

1. The National Archives, knowing that documents were missing, asked Trump to return them. He returned 184 documents, including 25 marked top secret.

2. After a subpoena, Trump returned 38 more documents, including 17 top secret.

3. The FBI obtained a search warrant and found over 13,000 documents in boxes and desks, including over 100 classified documents, some of which were top secret.

The most amazing part of this story is not that Trump stole over 13,000 documents, but that he apparently thought he could return 184, and then another 38 under court order, and that nobody would know or care about the rest.

Trump holds the historical records for both audacity and stupidity. After one legal and political debacle after another, he still thinks he can do whatever he wants without limits. This was made clear again yesterday by his outrageous claim that the "stolen" 2020 election justifies suspending the Constitution and handing him the Presidency.

Trump is stark raving mad and belongs in the mental ward of a federal prison.
