::creak:: goes the shop door.

Welcome again to Saturday Morning Home Repair blogging, where we talk about fixing houses and the things in them that are supposed to work for us. An ad hoc cadre of building professionals and gifted amateurs attempt to answer questions that arise from readers, and offer encouragement and advice for those inclined to do things for themselves, if they can. We all do a lot of things, collectively, and can probably help out with insights from our vast experience. Or sometimes, we just gab.

good morning: it has been awhile since throwing open the shop door. had a few messages about the series. I’m fine...just felt bad about the endless open threads I was posting. but really...it was always (mostly) about the comment thread anyway.

claude...who started this series...was a wealth of info. as a general contractor he had a broad understanding of most home repair topics. when he retired from posting...asking for others to takeover...we had a team trying to fill his shoes. over the years many of them have faded away for one reason or another.

next week we will have a guest host...and always open for anybody wanting to share a project...I will continue to post open threads...but will also try to highlight the unanswered questions from the previous week. and if during the week you should have a question...just kos mail me and I will feature it the next Saturday.
