Fears of covid have kept many of us away from bars and restaurants since lockdown — and that’s a perfectly rational way of coping with the ongoing pandemic. But dammit, a well-mixed cocktail — or a well-poured Guinness stout — is a joy to the taste buds. So let’s try some, vicariously.

There was a small Kentucky Derby party,,,but I’m pretty sure our hostess made her mint juleps using real bourbon whiskey….
