IAN: December 2nd 2022: Time to decorate the tree. [1]

Our four foot pre-lit tree that is sitting on a desk.

Happy Friday! We went for groceries Thursday, so don’t have to worry about that today or this weekend. It’s the first Friday of December, and our tree is up. It took about a half hour total to put up and decorate, and then we played with the different light modes for about an hour LOL. I’m going to be able to do most of the work to take it down myself, because I can sit on a chair at the desk and do most of it without even getting up (just for the stuff at the top and unwinding the garland and beads). And then Bit can take the tree itself down and put it in its box and put it in the closet for next year. So hopefully this one won’t end up sitting there for three years like the last one. Everything on it is non-breakable so kitten safe.

Also, we have always kept them off this desk as that’s where my other half’s diabetic supplies are kept, like pen needles and lancets. So they’re used to not going up there. So far, they haven’t tried to get to the tree, though they’ll sit on the floor and watch the lights change.

As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
