It may have been something I ate. Last night I got a premonition of the Speaker race. McCarthy seems to not have the votes, nor does any Freedom Caucus crazy. They need an outsider, and it doesn’t have to be a House member. Meanwhile Trump, Ye, and Fuentes have the GOP anxious to distance itself from anti-Semitism. On the seventh ballot, the smoke clears and we see the new Speaker: smarmy Joe Lieberman.
