Steeplechase perished at the hands of Fred Trump in 1965.

I don’t subscribe to the old saying “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” as always being true, but it the case of Donald Trump, it seems to be dead on accurate. His father, Fred Trump, whose middle name was Christ (apparently named after his father’s first name Christian) of all things, was alleged by his many detractors as having a reputation for being a card-carrying white supremacist. Fred was arrested as a young man at a riot of over 1000 robe wearing Klansman in Jamaica, Queens in 1927, where he lived at the time. He was then released by the police without being charged unlike the other six robed Klansman that were arrested.
It is not known if Trump was wearing a Klan robe or ever formally joined the Klan, but one local paper (The Long Island Daily Press) did remark that all seven men arrested were wearing robes. It was widely believed that Fred was also a Nazi sympathizer and Hitler supporter during and before WWII. Interestingly, his FBI files only cover 1966 — 1991 and older records may have “disappeared.”
The Donald’s Russian Sympathies?
Fred Trump and the models hired to be present when he wrecked parts of Steeplechase.
Fred’s far right sympathies and lack or moral principles may explain why the Russians under Putin may have approached and succeeded in recruiting Donald as an asset in some fashion during his many trips to Russia. It is not known what type and level of an asset Donald may be, but his consistent leanings towards Russian interests and Putin suggest he is hugely compromised in some fashion. If U.S. intelligence is aware of any specifics, they nor Biden have not spoken a word publicly. A subject for another article and of urgent importance.
Segregation in Trump Housing
Both he and his son Donald had a reputation for keeping the buildings they owned segregated as much as possible. They were sued for blatant unfair housing discrimination in the 1970s, with Donald being specifically named in the suit.
It was found after sending test couples to apply for housing at his buildings that white people were offered apartments, while black people were generally turned away, claiming no apartments were available, at the false direction of their boss, none other than Donald Trump himself.
The Destruction of Steeplechase
Perhaps one of the ugliest things Fred did as far as I’m affected personally was his destruction of Steeplechase Amusement Park in Coney Island, Brooklyn, a place myself and millions of others spent the best years of their early life visiting. He bought it in 1965 from the Tilyou family with the intention of demolishing it and building upscale apartments.
All that’s left of Steeplechase today.
He later was unable to change the zoning and held a party instead to destroy the Steeplechase Pavilion, complete with scantily clad models, free booze, and sledgehammers furnished to attendees. Fred called the demolition “fun.” He even reportedly sold bricks to ceremony guests to smash the remaining huge glass panels of the large Pavillion (seen in the lead photo above). All that’s left of Steeplechase today are the remains of the once functioning Parachute Jump ride, which Fred Trump declined to demolish only because of the demolition costs. The city eventually declared a historical landmark and preserved it. It was once an exhibit at the 1939 World’s Fair, after which was moved to Steeplechase.
He also deliberately relocated and concentrated low-income black and poor white tenants into extremely substandard and delipidated bungalows formerly used as summer houses along Mermaid Avenue, creating a depressed economic area which hastened the decline of Coney Island as an amusement area right up to the present day. He then bought up land in the same areas cheaply and resold it to developers.
Donald has learned much of his questionably legal business practices, and how to escape personal responsibility or blame for them, from his father. His grifter practices are clearly and closely in line with his father’s. In the mid-1970s, Donald received loans from his father exceeding $14 million to go into business on his own, many times more some say, which Donald later claimed was only one million dollars to further his myth of business acumen.
An Unquenchable Thirst for Revenge
Donald without makeup.
In addition to white supremacist racial bias, it seems as though Donald inherited his father’s lust for vengeance against his perceived enemies, as demonstrated by Fred holding his sadistic party to demolish parts of Steeplechase when he didn’t get his way. Adding enormous costs to attempting to reopen the ravaged Park and guaranteeing its eventual total destruction when the City finally bought it back from him.
We see in the aging Donald an unquenchable desire for revenge in everything he does and towards everyone whom he believed has betrayed him, no doubt acquired from Fred and found in some other family members as well.
It is firmly hoped that such vengeance is meted out to the Republicans who desire to replace him with aspiring party Fuehrer Ron DeSantis. If one thing can be predicted, is that if he’s on his feet he will not go quietly.
