Renewables in Africa Can Save Europe from Putin
Europe needs to get serious about investing in wind and solar in Tunisia and Morocco, and building undersea cables to Sicily and Italy. The Sahara Desert gets enough sun to power Europe 2,000 times over. Of course, that also means funding those and other countries in Africa to get to 100% renewables. We are talking about less than a hundred billion euro to get started, chump change in the global economy, and especially as an investment in the survival of both Europe’s economy, and Planet A entire, our ark in space carrying quintillions of life forms of tens of millions of species. Have I mentioned, lately, how much I love the exponential function? And the closely related logistic curve, made of two exponential pieces?

No, It's Not Inflation
Wrong-Wingers have been raving about how inflation, especially rising gasoline prices, is ruining everything, and it’s all Biden’s fault. This turns out not to be the case. There is no inflation. There are two kinds of real inflation that can occur: a slow upward creep, as a matter of regulatory policy, and hyperinflation caused by printing money with nothing to back it up. Neither is the problem now, except in the fever dreams of monetary conspiracy theorists. This is a set of price shocks from TFG and Putin mucking about, covid, an IC shortage, corporate price-gouging, a baby formula factory health disaster, and such, turned into a standard-issue Wrong-Wing immoral panic.
What DoJ Does Not Tell You
My draft for an official DoJ announcement: As you know, DoJ is doing essential work to protect the public and the Republic entire. We recognize that the public has reasonable concerns about what we are doing. So here is a summary of our work on the 1/6 insurrection and the conspiracy around it: As soon as President Biden was inaugurated, he directed DoJ to do its work without political interference. He trusts us to know our business.
We immediately undertook investigations of hundreds of Capitol rioters, including members of the Oathkeepers, the Proud Boys, the III%ers and other conspirators whom you have seen in court. We thank the members of the public who helped us identify many of them.
We also started investigations of the planners of the insurrection, including [list redacted to protect the rights of suspects].
As we and others developed further evidence, and as witnesses either responded to subpoenas or came forward on their own, we opened further investigations into [list redacted to protect the rights of suspects].
