Recently I have been reading and watching stories about how Turkey was going to be so much more expensive and that there were not going to be as many available for people to buy and that some may have to go without Turkey this Thanksgiving. Well, I just got back from the store, (on Thanksgiving morning) Turkeys for Butterball Brand TODAY were $1.49 a pound, Jenny-O were 89 Cents per pound. The shelves were fully loaded with Turkeys, they even had a whole section of fresh turkeys but I admit that I did not check out the price for the fresh ones. So, all this hub-bub about turkeys seems like nonsense. Sure last year I got 4 Butterball birds at ALDI for 49 cents per pound but that was the sale price and was only available for 2 days. It was a special and they were frozen. So are they more expensive? Yes. Out of reach as compared to previous years? No, as I have paid $1.89 some years for Turkeys so defiantly no. It seems to be all hype.
