Texas man charged after hate crime towards black security guard at Tampa bar [1]

Last Monday evening, 30-year-old Dustin McCann of Conroe, Texas caused a disturbance at the SOHO Saloon, a sports bar in South Tampa, by hurling the N-word towards a black security guard. McCann was escorted out of the premises, but as he drove away in his car, he fired multiple shots into the air whilst yelling โWhite Powerโ.

With help from the Arcadia Police Department, the Tampa Police Department were able to locate McCann, and on Wednesday night, Dustin McCann was arrested. He now faces charges that include four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and discharging a firearm from a moving vehicle. Furthermore, all charges will be enhanced by Floridaโs Hate Crime Statute 775.085.
