The parking lots are full! The lines in the grocery stores are growing longer! The turkey is almost defrosted!

And it’s only Tuesday!

But what a Tuesday! Once again, the slow creep of Thanksgiving expands to swallow another day. Joan McCarter, our regular Tuesday guest, has drawn the short straw for pre-T-Day duty, while others on staff are hitting the road, tending to sick children, or otherwise celebrating the season, leaving her to hold down the fort.

Which means our fort… does whatever forts do, when they’re not held down. Float up, I guess.

Actually, I’d like to see that. That’d be a real show!
