Media narratives of TFG seem to be all over the “well its looking bad for Trump but we’ve learned we can’t count him out” narrative. But, yes we can. The reason, and there has been surprisingly little about this (here and there, between the lines) is simple: over saturation of the market, or what is called media fatigue. Apart from his dwindling band of sycophantic followers, the rest of us are just plain tired of the guy His new ‘scandalous’ behaviour and insults can’t scandalize any of us anymore. We’ve heard it before. We've seen it. Been there, done that. So maybe he’ll be charged with something. Maybe some prosecutor’s report or special committee will do something consequential. But at this point, its the mini Trump wannabes we've got to watch out for, and the ‘movement’ he will never bequeath but they will attempt to re-energize. Media boredom, our own boredom, has sucked the life out of his room. Trump’s history has moved from what never quite scaled the heights of tragedy to lifeless and banal farce. When he next appears on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ or whatever, I'll switch to another platform.
