It's not about Hunter Biden. It is about burning down the DOJ. [1]

I think that the rabid GOP focus on investigating Hunter Biden is not about Hunter or his laptop. The larger purpose is to damage public trust in the DOJ by making endless accusations about the DOJ and FBI suppressing investigations into Hunter due to pressure from the White House.

The Trump crime family has been ALL about destroying trust in institutions that could check him. That has been a defining behavior of theirs since he entered politics. And now, with indictments pending, he needs justification for his base to believe his about to be tweeted and SCREAMED in frightening rants about “A politically motivated prosecution by a corrupt DOJ !!” This issue also provides the perfect excuse for those attempting to walk away from Trump to appease his base because the can piously claim that this is not about Trump- it is about “Ensuring the integrity of the DOJ”.

Hunter and his laptop are just salacious shiny objects to dangle and yell about for a base that craves easy to understand scandals and reasons to despise and distrust Democrats and indeed all government institutions. There is enough sketchy if not illegal stuff floating around Hunter to provide months of leaked “Bombshells” about his soon to be infamous laptop. THAT will give credibility to the alarming stories that Sean and Tucker will be screaming about how the Biden crime family pressured the FBI and the DOJ not to charge Hunter. There HAS been an ongoing investigation into him for some time and that will provide just enough cover for the lies. We all know by now that “Truth” is created by repetition for a base that seeks righteous indignation and fear like a drug.

This is going to play out with the backdrop of the Trump being indicted. There is a distinct possibility that he will be under indictment while he is a candidate. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when sanity sort of prevailed in a grueling 15 round fight on election night but the fight is far from over.
