What's Happening with Solar Panel Shipments [1]

This is a fast look at shipments of solar panels in the US. Lets first look at shipments by year in the chart below. We can see a steady rise in shipment except for a few years after 2016 (sigh). We are back on track with increasing shipments.

So which states are receiving these panels. California is at the top but Texas is a very close number two. New Jersey is at number four and seems to be taking transition seriously. Florida and Arizona are number three and five, and my only comment is that they should be installing many more panels than they are since they have huge amounts of sunshine. The rest of the top ten are something of a surprise as several are big fossil fuel production states included. Things are changing for the better but the first chart shows the huge effect of government policy and why we need to fight for every seat in congress.
