I don't know if anyone's asked yet, but could COVID have swung some tight races in 2022's midterms?

In some races a few hundred votes mattered, in at least one race the margain was less than 1%.

Given COVID has killed 1.1 million Americans and the majority were likely republican voters according to many estimates I think it's fair to ask if COVID was a real factor in the 2022 elections.

I hope this doesn't generate a rage storm, I'm asking what people in close race states think on this matter. I hope the replies can be civil.
