The transgender flag

This year on Transgender Awareness Week. I pretty much spend the week as I do my regular things around the house thinking and reflecting on my journey to becoming a woman. I am thankful and glad that I now live in a state where I can get gender affirming care versus where I used to have to fight just to get treatment. Now I just wish I could find a transgender man to accept me and to fall in love with. I am enjoying my life as a transgender woman. But I am also aware there are transgender people who are not as fortunate as I am. Some who have been rejected by their own families or kicked out of their house because they want to pursue hormone therapy to become the gender they identify as. As I read about what the Qpublicans trying to do with Transgender youth and people of all ages. I am reminded that there is a still a long way to go and we still have to fight for our rights, dignity and respect. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️!
