How green is electricity in Canada? [1]

A quick look at Canada’s generation shows that our northern neighbor is doing an awesome job of making green electricity. Here is the chart that shows the last twelve months for all of Canada. All rows are low carbon except for one, production from combustible fuels. A huge 60% comes from hydroelectric, 13% from nuclear, 6% from wind, and 0.5% from solar. Only 19.5% was generated from fossil fuels — most of which happens in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Nova Scotia. Alberta and Saskatchewan have lots of land and wind so that situation may improve. Nova Scotia can work with the other maritime provinces to create an eastern green grid (well, that is my hope for Canada). If you know more about renewable energy in Canada please leave a comment. I’m doing very brief research and there is a lot of information out there, more than I can get through, for these articles.
In my opinion any country with more that 80% low carbon electricity is past the (current) finish line. I have no way to justify that number so what is your opinion — poll is below.
