We MUST watch Hochul and who she appoints the the NYS court of appeals [1]

Progressives tend to fall asleep when it comes to judges and school boards. MAGA has learned that is where the power lies on the local level. We have learned a very hard lesson this election. We would be in the majority in the House if Cuomo had appointed a progressive rather than a conservative block to the State Court of Appeals (Read Supreme Court). We maybe the most conservative judge, DeFiore, is resigning. She announced her retirement during the summer, I think when people would not be paying that much attention. Probably did not expect the House to be so close and the conservative gerrymander to become such a big topic. We must hold Kathy Hochul’s feet to the fire on this, no matter how much everybody wants to celebrate. It is more than critical for 2024. We ignore this at our peril. Hochul must know if she appoints another conservative she will never be governor again.
This is important because many democratic New York politicians speak as progressives but act as corporatists. There is just too much money on the table, for their relatives and eventually for them. I will be you my house that DeFiore is resigning to cash in, collect on some debts. We cannot let this happen again.
