Veterans deserve better - what other countries have for every one! [1]

Yesterday was another Veteran's Day.

And not much has changed for them.

We all believe they should receive care for their service, to tend to and repair their injuries, to either make them whole or provide the safety nets they deserve; to help sustain them throughout their remaining years.

And yet we as a nation do not do that. Sure we have the "VA". But that has been plagued with problems, limitations, underfunding, and a lesser standard of care and attention that the general public recieve. VA facilities are relatively few in number and require travel, usually a lot of travel .

We have heard Senator Bernie Sanders talk about how the country shouldc push for a Single Payer Universal Health Care system for everyone. Great idea. But with a lot of resistance. It will never happen if even the covid pandemic couldn’t even get a dialog going for it. No one even brought up the topic that we even tipped into single payer for the whole vaccination rollout!! And many other aspects of the caring for those sickened. Again very much like single payer. Except…...

How about such a plan FOR ALL MILITARY AND VETERANS? Open up every hospital, every clinic, every doctor's office, every specialty to our Warriors, active and discharged?

Give these men and women the freedoms to choose and never worry about the bills? Include pharma, vision, hearing as well. Or cancer treatments, many possibly from burn pits or the waters contaminated on a base right here in the USA. Just go to any doctor anywhere within the states and get your care started. No bills to be paid by you. The single payer would be some part of the government, like how Medicare pays a part of the bill but no Medicare Advantage or Medigap needs to be bought! You are a vet. You should get care anywhere.
