Sen Mark Kelly has now been projected as the winner in the Arizona Senate election. In addition, Adrian Fontes has also been projected as the winner for Arizona Secretary of State.
Congratulations to most gentlemen.
Here was what I asked last night…
Here’s what I don’t understand. Why are people assuming drop offs will be as Republican as 2020? Do people not remember there was literally a pandemic pre-vaccine??? There is no way the GOP/Dem difference on Election Day is the same. Dems were more cautious two years ago.
Am I missing something?
It is beyond clear to me that the huge difference between Democratic and Republican same day votes was because Democrats weren’t trying to catch Covid. The election happened pre-vaccine.
Why would anyone believe more Dems wouldn’t vote in person in the new Covid Environment. Walking into turn in a ballot when people are going to stadiums is clearly a possibility.
If this is right, this mean Katie Hobbs has a really good chance going forward. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
Once again, instead of following logic, the media we’re fighting this battle. It isn’t over, but we now know the idea that 2022 was clearly not 2020.
