A race so tight it might make you want to loosen your pants in a bowling alley.
Republican Lauren Boebert was locked in a tight race Wednesday in her bid for reelection to a U.S. House seat in Colorado against Democratic challenger Adam Frisch, a businessman and former city councilman from the posh, mostly liberal ski town of Aspen. Boebert, who was trailing in her reelection bid in a race that was still too close to call on Wednesday, has been mocked online for her prediction of a "Red Wave" in the 2022 midterm elections. The Donald Trump loyalist established herself as a partisan flashpoint in Washington, D.C., in her first term, and had been favored to win reelection after redistricting made the conservative and mostly rural conservative district more Republican.

x They called you cockroaches.
They called you cult members.
They called you extremists.
They called you terrorists.
Today, we call them losers!#RedWave — Lauren Boebert (@laurenboebert) November 8, 2022
Why Did Ted Cruz Donate $136,250 To Lauren Boebert? Jun 15, 2022The PAC also alleged that Boebert received at least $136,250 from Senator Ted Cruz for her campaign for Congress announced in 2019, and failed to disclose a $70,500 donation noted in Cruz's Federal Election Commission filings.
Boebert has been one of the loudest Republican voices amplifying former President Trump's baseless claims of widespread election fraud, as well as supporting QAnon conspiracy theories. On Election Day, she was one of many Republicans predicting a "red wave" of GOP wins. But late on election night, Boebert prayed with her supporters and said she's hoping to get a boost from in-person voting.
Frisch, viewed as a centrist, previously served on the Aspen City Council. Faced with an opponent with strong name recognition and a penchant for outlandish remarks, Frisch built "a coalition of normal," Colorado Democratic Party Chair Morgan Carroll tells member station Colorado Public Radio.
