Update from Marc Elias: polling times extended in parts of GA, NC, PA, TX, and VA [1]

Marc Elias at Democracy Docket sent out an email to alert his mailing list that several polling locations have been court-ordered to extend their hours. FYI, here’s the list:

In Georgia, a court granted a request filed by the Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration to keep two precinct locations open past the 7 p.m. EST deadline due to delays at the locations at the start of the day. In Gwinnett County, a court ordered the precinct 59 polling location, designated as Landmark Church at 3737 Holcomb Bridge Road in Norcross, to remain open until 7:08 p.m. EST.

In North Carolina, the North Carolina State Board of Elections extended polling hours to 8:30 p.m. EST at the Ransom precinct in Columbus County, Saratoga precinct in Wilson County and Gaddys precinct in Robeson County.

In Pennsylvania, a court ordered all polling places in Luzerne County to extend their closing times. Polling places in Luzerne County will now stay open until 10 p.m. EST.

In Texas, due to technical issues this morning, all polling places in Bell County extended their closing times until 8 p.m. CST.

In Virginia, a court ordered a polling place at Blackstone Primary School in Blackstone, Virginia to extend its closing time to 8:00 p.m EST due to technical difficulties earlier in the day. Due to technical difficulties this morning, voting at the East Suffolk Recreation Center was extended to 7:20 p.m. EST.
