GOTV like democracy is on the line, because it is. Just look at what McCarthy has in store for us [1]

Zanona asked about Greene and whether he would reinstate her—of course—and whether he’ll impose any restriction on her at all—of course not. What about how she and other members who have been blowing shit up with conspiracy theories and threats? What about them mocking the assassination attempt on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the attack that put her husband in the ICU?
“What happened to Paul Pelosi is wrong, and I think we should not get into this rhetoric.” And what’s he going to do about it? “The first thing I’ll ask the president to do is not to call half the nation idiots or say things about them because they have a difference of opinion,” he said. “I think leadership matters, and I think it probably starts with the president. And it will start with the speaker as well.”
This isn’t even getting to the economic terrorism he’s threatening, promising not to allow the debt ceiling to be raised if he doesn’t get Social Security and Medicare cuts, not that CNN mentions that part of the “negotiation” McCarthy promises he’ll force. “If you’re going to give a person a higher limit, wouldn’t you first say you should change your behavior, so you just don’t keep raising and all the time?” he said. “You shouldn’t just say, ‘Oh, I’m gonna let you keep spending money.’ No household should do that.”
Then Zanona presses on McCarthy putting the nation’s economy at risk, and lets it stand at this: “McCarthy insisted that wouldn’t happen: ‘People talk about risking it. You don’t risk a default.’” He’s talking about risking it, and just talking about risking it is enough to do economic damage.
What it all comes down to is whether he will be Speaker. Will McCarthy be able to wrangle the maniacs who kept him out of the speakership in 2015? Sure. Because he’s done all the necessary toadying. “I’ll believe we’ll have the votes for speaker, yes,” McCarthy said. “I think Trump will be very supportive.”
Zanona was so kind to McCarthy in writing up this interview for her article she left out this part:

So, yeah, what he says:

“There’s a lot that needs to be fact-checked when it comes to Kevin McCarthy,” Don Lemon said right after a segment with Zanona’s interview aired. “It’s important to have Kevin McCarthy on, but it needs to be fact-checked. A lot of what he said in that interview is not factual.”
Also, Kevin McCarthy should never be in possession of the speaker’s gavel. Get out the vote like our democracy depends on it, because it does.
