I’ve said a lot about these previous two years on this site — especially regarding the dangers of avoiding the reality of our parallel path toward fascism that so many here have denied or mocked me for observing over the years.

Well, tomorrow — November 8th, 2022 — the fat lady sings. Everybody with half a brain on up — from the January 6th commission, the Steele papers, the dozens and dozens of failed fascist lawsuits — hell, even some few of the old neocon guard like “Tin Lizzie” Cheney and the flesh-eating demons at the Lincoln Project have all said pretty much the same thing: This is very likely the last chance we will have to turn this country around and reclaim our Constitutional Democracy from the fascists and the evangelical zealots.

I wonder if women will vote in better numbers than they did 2 years ago in Texas and Kentucky. I wonder if the DNC has actual proactive plans to deal with the inevitable fascist lawsuits after this election is over — the ones that will challenge vote counts, mail in ballots and voting machine integrity.

But moreover, I actually wonder if America will finally get over their decades-long “selective amnesia” and look at the established facts instead of the “alternative” ones.

There’s just one of myriad examples:

I could provide more of these, but my efforts it seems are pointless; The bottom line is that America will display its true character tomorrow: Will it once again show that it knows the price of everything and the value of nothing, or will it value liberty and democracy over television reruns?

God, how I wish I felt better about this, but I don’t. And I hope like hell that I’m wrong… not for me, but for my three granddaughters, and everyone else’s daughters.
