Sometimes You Tube Gets It Right... [1]

Remember what they fought for.

The timing was perfect, I had just finished my daily round up of news, I start (when time allows) with my opening of The Daily Kos (always first opened) and start up Keith Olbermann’s Podcast ‘Countdown’ (second), and proceed to read Anneli’s update, anything updated from Mark or Kos on Ukraine and hope to see the arrest of Donald T(raitor)rump (still hoping).



And then, again if time allows like today, I have a look over at You Tube, specifically the ‘Meidas Touch’ channel to see the latest legal analysis by Ben Meiselas (twitter.com/...) and hoping to see the arrest of you know who. Some Denis on the situation in Ukraine and another called ‘Reporting from Ukraine’ (just to round off my Ukraine addiction)



Then a little Stephen Colbert usually and maybe a splash of Seth Meyers to lighten the mood a little and I feel all caught up for the day (well, for a few hours until I open up my laptop again hoping to see the arrest of… you know.



I’m also a bit of a film buff so the odd clip or clip and analysis of a film I like, Being There with Peter Sellars is the usual flavour du jour that You Tube’s algorithm wants to feed me, pops up. And as usual I don’t usually watch them (astonishing, right?), but today You Tube scored a homer when this prompter popped into my youtubeosphere. I have watched it before but the timing seemed so right that I thought I might share it with you all. I’m sure many of you have seen it and, as I do, get goose bumps every single time you re-watch it.



It was prescient then, 82 years ago, is absolutely prescient now, and probably will be for all time.

With 5 days to go to another potentially democracy busting election, people of the world, I give you,
